Chaired and participated in several committees and task forces, with the functions related to economic affairs in the State of Qatar, including the sectors of industry, labor, training and investment, oil and gas, electricity, water, banking, privatization, and the knowledge economy.
Also participate in the membership of the Supreme Committee for the Master Plan of the State of Qatar and the National Committee for World Trade Organization
Short Profile of the Company:
The General Secretariat for Development Planning (GSDP) shall aim at monitoring the implementation of the Qatar National Vision (QNV 2030), for which purpose it will carry out, but not limited to, the following tasks:
Prepare the National Development Strategy (NDS) for the achievement of the Qatar National Vision 2030– stating in it the development priorities, the quantitative objectives in the economic, social and demographic fields as well as determining the mechanisms necessary for achieving them – after consultation with government agencies and surveying the opinion of the private sector and civil society organizations.
Conduct research and studies related to the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy.
Review executive plans set by different agencies to ensure effective coordination among these agencies and to verify the consistency of these plans with NDS.
