Bjorn has a total of 15 years of experience in the lighting and electronics industry, having worked extensively with the Middle East and Scandinavia in his previous position as Export Sales Manager for Aluminium Anodizing Manufacturer Alanod in Germany.

He was born in Austria with a Swedish heritage, later moving to Australia where he completed his studies (Bachelor of Business: International Business at RMIT University, Melbourne).

Interior Automation was founded in Dubai in 2006 to provide a technology deployment service for intelligent building control systems for clients in the Middle East. Bjorn moved to Dubai to start the company as Managing Director. His role of taking a successful business from the UK and applying it to a new area has given him specific experience in the challenges of implementing energy saving technologies into modern buildings.

Interior Automation is a member of the EnOcean Alliance, a consortium of over 130 companies working to further develop and promote self-powered wireless monitoring and control systems for sustainable and energy efficient buildings by formalising the interoperable wireless standard. The EnOcean Alliance has the largest installed base of field-proven wireless building automation networks in the world.
