Simon Wilson is the Managing Director of Five Oceans Environmental Services LLC, an environmental consulting firm operating largely in the Southern Gulf region. Simon has been working as a consultant in Oman since 1996 managing a range of projects including over 40 EIAs in Oman, UAE and Qatar, providing environmental support for developers and more recently advising on sustainable development at a master planning level. He holds a PhD in marine ecology, a Masters in coastal zone management and a BSc in Zoology, and has been instrumental in establishing two non-profit organisations: the Indian Ocean Research and Conservation Association (IORCA), a conservation NGO, and the African Sustainable Fuels Centre (ASFC) which focuses on biofuels in Southern Africa.
