Short Profile of the Person:
Ahmed Saleh Al-Jahdhami is the currently working as General Manager for Policy & Strategy in the Public Authority for Electricity & Water (PAEW)- Oman. The department is responsible for privatization & restructuring, Energy Planning, fuel diversity,  renewable Energy & energy Efficiency and other strategic projects within Public Authority for Electricity and Water. His previous work experience include working in the oil industry on technical & management roles and managing privatization and restructuring projects in the electricity and water sectors. He graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK in 1997 with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Short Profile of the Company:
PAEW was formed in 2007 by the Royal Decree 92/2007 and its responsibilities have been defined by Royal Decree 58/2009. PAEW key objectives are:

• To secure the production of potable water in the Unrelated Water Sector in accordance with the Oman standards and proportionate to the expansion of development and population growth.
• To activate the Government's policy in respect of securing electricity supply to the greatest portion of society.
• To activate and consolidate Government policy in respect of the development of both the unrelated water and the electricity and related water sectors (sic) and to promote them and utilise technology in these two areas.
• To encourage the private sector to invest in both the unrelated water and the electricity and related water sectors (sic).
• To develop human resources in the Authority.
