Profile: 

Steve Pratt is Sales Director for Interface in the Middle East. Interface is a worldwide leader in the design and production of carpet tiles that combine beauty and innovation with functionality and environmental credentials to help customers bring their design vision to life.

Steve is also a ‘sustainability ambassador’ for Interface. In this role, he helps to educate clients and specifiers about Interface’s sustainability mission and what it means for the company. Interface’s goal, known as ‘Mission Zero’ is to eliminate any negative impact that the company has on the environment by 2020. The goal is ingrained in all aspects of the business, including its people, products and processes.

Prior to joining Interface in 2006, Steve was an Area Sales Manager for Muraspec Ltd, an international wall coverings company with headquarters located in the UK. To date, Steve has over 16 years of experience in the Middle East, managing diverse and successful sales teams of various sizes and backgrounds.

In addition to his work at Interface, Steve is also an active board member for The Emirates Green Building Council. He has recently completed an 18‐month tenure as Secretary to the Board. Through his work with the Emirates GBC, Steven has been able to promote the need for sustainable construction practices and the requirement for greener materials. Steve has taken part in numerous speaking engagements, the latest of which include presentations for the ‘EmiratesGBC Focus Day’, which was part of the ‘GreenBuild Middle East’ conference. He has also presented at ‘Greenomics’, an annual conference designed to help local manufacturers to become more sustainable.

Steve was born and raised in Southwest England in 1974 and in his spare time, enjoys cycling and spending time with his two children.
