Short Profile: 

Richard Gulliver entered the flat glass industry in 1993, running a specialist safety glass company in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. In 2000 he took a change in direction and entered the architectural flat glass industry as the production manager of an insulated glazing unit manufacturer. In 2003 he decided to take another change and became the technical support manager of a tempering furnace manufacturer, where he commissioned the furnaces, taught the operators in the correct operation and also contributed in the continuous development of the product, to meet the constantly changing requirements of the industry.

In 2007 he was convinced to move to Dubai, to set up and manage a new glass processing facility. In 2008 he was elected as the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Glass and Glazing Federation, MENA Region, and is  responsible for the promotion of quality, safety, product standardization and regulation as well as the benefits of the federation to both potential new members and government bodies. As well as his GGF duties, Richard is currently operating as an independent technical consultant to the architectural flat glass and associated industries within the MENA region, offering  support, guidance and advise to architects, consultants, facade manufactures, main contractors and glass processors.
