Ferdinand Leopolder, 50, has studied German Literature, Philosophy and Theatre Science in Munich and Erlangen (Germany). He has been trained in industrial chemical processing by Raschig AG, Ludwigshafen, Germany. During his time in the USA (Richmond, Virginia, from 1988 until 2001), he applied this knowledge in the construction and running of an emulsifier plant and by realizing a large scale project of plastics recycling (namely ridgid PVC). In 2001, he started with Wacker Chemie GmbH.

He was responsibe for the global market development at Wacker for redispersible powders until 2001. In 2001, Ferdinand Leopolder founded drymix.info, the International Community for Drymix Mortar. In the course of this work, Leopolder, supported by the supplying
industry and the manufacturers of drymix mortars, founded the Middle East Drymix Mortar Association MEDMA and the South East Asia Drymix Mortar Asociation SEADMA. He holds the position of Executive Director in both MEDMA and SEADMA. Ferdinand Leopolder is an active consultant to the drymix mortar industry and also organizes the conferences on this topic worldwide such as The International Drymix Mortar Conference idmmc two (30. March 2009 in Nürnberg, Germany). He operates an excessive network with Universities all around the globe for technology transfer (e.g. Tongji University, Technische Universität München TUM, Wuhan University, National Universtiy of Singapore NUS).
